About Me

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Statistics and Probability at Michigan State University. Currently, I serve as an AE for Statistical Analysis and Data Mining.

My research includes approximate Bayesian inference using generative models (Normalizing Flows) with applications to image classification, representation learning, low-latency models and feature engineering and spatial data modeling with binary graphs (Ising Distribution) and computer models with applications to genetics and nuclear physics.

My research on computer models was funded by the NSF-DMS Award. I also received the NAIRR Pilot grant from NSF in 2024 for my research on Bayesian representation learning.

I received a Ph.D. at the Statistics department of University of Michigan 2018. I was jointly advised by Profs. Stilian Stoev and George Michailidis. I also received my B.Stat and M.Stat degree in statistics from Indian Statistical Institute, in 2011 and 2013, respectively.
